After months of searching for the right location, renovating, and preparing for the future, the Perinton Food Shelf has officially settled into its new home. We have been fully operational in our new space since Monday, August 31, 2026, and we could not be more excited about what this next chapter means for our neighbors in need.
The road to a new home
This move has been a long time coming. Finding a space that fit our needs took patience, and once we found it, there was plenty of work to do before we could open the doors. Through every step of the search, the renovations, and the planning, we kept one goal in mind: creating a place where we can do even more for the people we serve.
Move week itself was busy, and it went smoothly thanks to the many wonderful volunteers who showed up ready to work. From packing up our shelves to assembling fixtures in the new space, including a big assist from our friends at the Rotary, every set of hands made a difference.
As word of the move spread, so many of you reached out to ask how you could help. That outpouring of support means the world to us. It is a reminder that the Perinton Food Shelf is truly a community effort, and this new space belongs to all of us.
