On April 12th, the DeLand House on Main hosted the Empty Bowls event, a fundraiser for the Perinton Food Shelf.
From noon to 4 PM, our community gathered in beautiful fashion. The tables remained full, and the spirit throughout the event was amazing. Guests selected from vibrant, handmade bowls donated by Created By Us Pottery, each piece filled with special character.
Local restaurants contributed delicious soups and chilis, while live entertainment from Marty Roberts and a live auction completed the afternoon.
What is Empty Bowls?
Empty Bowls is a global grassroots initiative dedicated to fighting hunger and raising funds for food-related charities. By bringing together community members, local artists, and restaurants, it creates a meaningful experience that directly supports those in need.

Thank You
This event succeeded because of our generous community. We’re grateful to the Fairport Perinton Partnership, The Mayeu Financial Group – Northwestern Mutual (our sponsor), Created By Us Pottery, our local restaurants, and everyone who attended and supported this important cause.
When we come together, we make a real difference for those in our community facing food insecurity.
